CSS Minifier

Shrink stylesheets for production, or expand them back to readable rules.

How it works

Minifying removes comments, collapses whitespace, and drops the final semicolon in each block — the rules themselves are untouched. Beautify does the reverse, putting one declaration per indented line.

Frequently asked questions

How much smaller will my CSS get?

Hand-written stylesheets typically shrink 20-40%, and much more if they carry long comment blocks.

Will minifying break my styles?

No. Only whitespace and comments are removed; selectors, properties, and values are left exactly as written.

Comments

Comments aren't enabled yet. When you're ready, this is where a service like Giscus, Disqus, or a custom form would go — the slot is already reserved on every tool page.
