How it works

Factorials are built by multiplying every integer from 1 to n. Values above 170! exceed the maximum double-precision number, so the tool caps input there and uses BigInt for exact digits up to 500.

Frequently asked questions

What is 0 factorial?

0! equals 1 by definition, which keeps combinatorics formulas consistent.

Why the limit at 170?

171! overflows the floating-point range, so larger values are shown as exact BigInt digit strings only.
