How it works

Each line of your input is compared against the ones before it. Optionally the comparison trims surrounding spaces and ignores letter case. The first occurrence of every line is kept in its original order unless you ask for a sorted result.

Does it keep the first or last duplicate?

The first occurrence of each line is kept, and every later repeat is removed, so the original ordering of your list is preserved.

Can I remove blank lines too?

Yes. Tick “Drop empty lines” and every blank or whitespace-only line is removed along with the duplicates.
