How it works

Every http or https sequence is matched up to the first whitespace or closing bracket, trailing sentence punctuation is trimmed, and results can be collapsed to hostnames when you only need the domains.

Frequently asked questions

Does it follow the links?

No. Nothing is requested — the text is only scanned locally.

Will it find links inside HTML?

Yes, both href attributes and plain-text URLs are matched.
