GPA Calculator
Add your courses, credits, and letter grades to get a weighted GPA.
How it works
Each letter grade maps to points on the standard 4.0 scale (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, and so on). The tool multiplies each course's points by its credit hours, adds those quality points together, and divides by your total credits — the same weighted formula registrars use.
Frequently asked questions
How is a weighted GPA calculated?
Multiply each course's grade points by its credit hours to get quality points, add all quality points together, then divide by the total number of credits. Courses worth more credits move your GPA more.
What scale does this calculator use?
The standard unweighted 4.0 scale, where A and A+ are 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, B is 3.0, and so on down to F at 0.0. It does not add honours or AP bonus points.
Can I use it for a semester and a cumulative GPA?
Yes. Enter one semester's courses for a semester GPA, or list every course you have taken for a cumulative GPA — the weighting works the same either way.
