    How it works

The reader extracts each page's text along with its font sizes. Lines that are noticeably larger than the body text become headings, bullet and numbered lines become Markdown lists, and everything else is joined into paragraphs. Review the output before publishing — heading detection is a heuristic, not magic.

    Examples

    Split a report1-4, 5-9, 10-12 → three PDFs
Burst a scanEvery page separately → page-by-page PDFs

    Frequently asked questions

    How are headings detected?

By relative font size. Lines at least 20% larger than the document's most common size become H2, much larger ones become H1.

    Are tables converted?

Not reliably. PDF tables are drawn lines, not structured data, so they come through as plain text lines.

    Does it work on scans?

No — a scanned PDF has no text layer. You would need OCR first.
